Question:
If Lemmy and God got into a fist fight, who would win?
Answer:
It's a trick question, because Lemmy is God!
QUICK IAN "LEMMY" KILMISTER HISTORY:
Who is this Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister you ask? He is just the badest Muthr around. This is the Lead singer of the band Motrhead, Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister. He was born 12/24/1945 in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England. The Lemmy story as I heard it: Lemmy used to be a rodie for Jimmy Hendrix. After Jimmy died they formed Hawkwind with Lemmy on bass. When they went on a tour, they were crossing the Canadian boarder and Lemmy got caught with Crystal Meth. They tossed him jail. The rest of the band bailed him out, and then kicked him out. Even though they did just as many drugs as he did. So you can tell everyone that Lemmy got kicked out of Hendrix's band for doing too many drugs. Pretty funny. While he was in Hawkwind he wrote the song Motorhead. It's an English slang term for speedfreak.
After that he formed the heavest band in the world, Motrhead. A three song EP was pressed on blue vinyl and released to radio stations to get them to play the band. He then fired the whole band, because they didn't have a tight enough sound. He meet Fast Eddie Clark and asked him to be his gutarist. They were a Trio for a long time, because he got his drug supplier, Philthy Phil "The Animal" Taylor, to play the drums. After about five albums, Fast Eddie Clark left the band to create the group Fast Way. He then slipped into the dead rock star career hall of shame. Motrhead has had several lineup changes ever since.
The thing I like best about Motrhead is that they really don't change their style all that much, but they still manage to keep a fresh sound. They are sorta like the Ramones in that way. Motrhead's songs don't fade out like "Top Forty Bands" songs do, they just grind to a hault. They never have backup vocals, just Lemmy and the mike, that's all they need. Also they write about several different things, Lemmy's scope of writing covers, wars, love making, history, drugs, life on the road, death, law suits, and religion. Because of this his music has fans of all types, old biker dudes, old punks, old headbangers, and young yuppies. He will try anything musically. The funniest thing I heard was him and Wendy O. Williams doing "Stand by your Man."
Lemmy even wrote a song called Snaggletooth. It's about him losing his teeth because of his addiction to speed. I guess speed sucks all the calcium out of your body. A few years ago he only had about three teeth in his head. He must of had a false set made, because now he sports a mouthful. I've been a supporter of his for years. I cheered for him when I heard he had kicked his herion habit, and bought the import CD Single where Metallica dressed up as the "Lemmys" and played Motrhead tunes for his 50th Birthday bash.
My favorite Motrhead song at this time is: Just cos' you got the power, that don't mean you got the right. It's a great little didy that includes such passages as: You can take my past and future, they won't make you wise; You maybe a financial wizard with a sack of lot, but all I see is a slimy lizard in an expensive suit; and You bastards think your funny, lie'n and stealing all your life.
Why take my word for it, click on the song title for full lyrics.
Look at that mug! Is that a face only his mother could love, or what? I think I have even seen a picture where he got the biggest knot on the side of his face pirced. I seem to remember seeing a gold ring hanging from it. Lemmy has joined the likes of Pete Townshend, John Lennon, and Tom Petty by being honored by Rickenbacker. You can now own a Limited Edition Lemmy Kilmister Rickenbacker's bass guitar.
FUN LEMMY FACTS:
Once told people he got his name because he used to wonder around saying "Lemmie a fiver." Then people started asking him about it, so he dropped the story.
Posed with a nude Samatha Fox in Penthouse. He was producing her album at the time.
Had a video game made starting him. The object of the game was to move Lemmy around picking up beer cans.
The creature in the band's logo is called a warpig. This particular one is christened "Snaggletooth B. Motrhead", the 'B' stands for Bastard.
Motrhead play loud at their live gigs just because they prefer it that way. They used to be the loudest band in the world and were in the Guinness Book of Records for five years with that belt.

MOTORHEAD STUFF I OWN:
A rare 12 inch single of the first tracks Motrhead Recorded, sent only to radio stations to get them to play Motrhead. I had Lemmy sign this when this picture was taken. He seemed sorta pissed. He went out of way to make sure that his signature didn't show on the album. He had one of those silver paint pens in front of him. He was using that on every other album that came by him, but when I handed him mine, he looked all over and found a blue ballpoint pen to sign it. The cover of the thing is blue so the signature is not visable on it at all. What a Basterd! I love that guy!
Motrhead's CMC Page (Official) a great chronology of the band. It's a little jaded, because it's from the Record Label they are currently on. I mean the last paragraph decribes "Snake Bite Love" as Motrhead's most radio-friendly music, I would have just said, "It sorta sucks!"
